January 25 2012 - IMB Building Society has delivered a solid half-year result in a challenging market, with net profit after tax of $15.1 million for the six months to 31 December 2011, slightly above the result for the same period last year.

As members may be aware, IMB's share price has moved from a closing price yesterday, Thursday, 24 November 2011, of $3.50 per share to a low of $2.81 on Friday, 25 November, 2011.

IMB Members are advised that the 2011 Annual General Meeting is to be held on Tuesday, 25 October 2011 at 10.00am, at the Crown Pacific Room, Rydges Hotel Wollongong, 112 Burelli Street, Wollongong, NSW.

Despite challenging trading conditions, IMB delivered solid results for the year ending June 2011, with operating profit after tax of $31.0 million. This is an increase of $1.9 million or 6.7% over the previous year. Core profit increased by $2.4 million or 7.8%.

As members may be aware, IMB’s share price has moved from a closing price last Friday, 3 June 2011, of $3.95 per share to a closing price of $3.50 on Tuesday, 7 June 2011.
